Rocket sled testing plays a crucial role in weapon development and performance evaluation. However, existing methods for measuring rocket sled velocity have certain limitations. To address the challenge of measuring velocity throughout the entire rocket sled test, this paper proposes an optoelectronic tag-based method for full-range velocity measurement. We establish a detection model for optoelectronic tags and conduct research on their directional reflection characteristics. We analyze and simulate the signal variation process of the sensor during dynamic measurements. Based on the frequency characteristics of the signal, we select the photoelectric detection device and design the signal processing circuitry. Additionally, we build and test the hardware measurement circuitry to validate the system. Experimental results demonstrate that the sensor can detect photoelectric tags up to a distance of 40 cm, and the velocity measurement range meets the requirements for rocket sled testing in weapon-proving grounds. Compared to traditional methods, the optoelectronic tag method offers lower cost and broader applicability in full-range velocity measurement for rocket sleds.
