Abstract:The garbage collection mechanism of enterprise solid-state drives may cause performance jitter, which may lead to business system delay or even error. This paper introduces the latest development in the production process, flash conversion layer, interface and protocol of enterprise SSDs. In view of the lack of quantitative indicators, the coefficient of variation is proposed as a measure of performance stability. In this paper, FIO, nmon and Memtester are used as testing tools, and data model and QoS conditions are set up, when a performance stability test scheme are designed. The solid-state drive test scheme proposed in this paper, which is close to the production environment, is conducive to the stability assessment of IT(Information Technology) system from the planning and design stage, and to ensure the deployment and operation of the core business system
