Ocean environment monitoring plays an important role in developing the ocean economy in China. According to the unique ocean visualization requirements and low reusability problem, this paper designs a visualization component based on the ActiveX technology. Through constructing the coordinate mapping model, the proposed component implements the visualization of the heterogeneous monitoring data using scalar and vector fields, and provides the rich interactive methods like roaming, zooming and moving. Combining with the real requirements, it can be used in multiple ocean monitoring systems by setting the component interfaces. The results prove that the component reduces the software development difficulties and meets the visualization requirements efficiently. 
