In despite of the NAND FLASH such as K9MDG08U5M is taken as the most reliable storage medium, there is still little probability of single bit error. To detect and correct the error, an Error Checking and Correction(ECC) algorithm is designed and implemented. According to our experiment, the greater probability of bit error is occurred by this FLASH. So the traditional ECC algorithm whose correcting ability is 1bit/4kB cannot achieve the task. In the paper, an algorithm with greater correcting ability is discussed. This algorithm is applied successfully to the storage device, whose correcting ability is 8bit/4kB and justifying error ability is 16bit/4kB.
